Last June 26th, the ”Automotive Project Manager” program, organized by the CEAGA Corporate University, finished with the defense of the four innovation projects in the areas of product and process.

Within the framework of this program, the 15 participants presented, before an evaluation committee formed by sector professionals, the four projects carried out in groups, promoted by the companies Akwel Vigo Spain, Adhex Tech Tapes, CIE Galfor y Componentes de Vehículos de Galicia.

With the development of these real projects, the participants intended to work on a series of challenges for companies, getting achievements in the area of product reconception and process optimization, economic savings, total traceability of parts, data capture for the taking of decisions, quality and ergonomic improvements, automation of processes, as well as deepening the circular economy and reducing the environmental impact.

During the six months of the training, the participants were able to obtain a comprehensive and integrated vision of project management. In addition, they have combined theoretical sessions taught by a teaching panel formed 80% by professionals active in the Sector, with practical activities in member companies of the Cluster.

The ”Automotive Project Manager” program was created to respond to the growing demand for qualified professionals to manage projects in a complex and highly competitive sector such as the automotive industry. This training has drawn on the experience gained in the five editions of the ”Management and Development of New Products” program, through which a hundred project managers were trained and awarded the prestigious international prize awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development.

Due to the high level of satisfaction of the companies and participating students, the ”Automotive Project Manager” program it is planned to relaunch it next January 2020. They will be able to participate, in addition to professionals of the Sector, recent graduates in different engineerings.
