Los miembros de ACREA se reunieron en la sede de CEAGA.

The automotive sector Clusters of País Vasco (ACICAE), Valencia (AVIA), Galicia (CEAGA), Cantabria (GIRA) and the existing in the Community of Castilla and León (FÀCYL) met at the facilities of the CEAGA Foundation in Vigo.

This meeting began with a round of activities of the Lean project leaders of the five clusters to share ”best practices”, and subsequently conducted an analysis of the commonalities and potential areas of cooperation.

Moreover, this new meeting covered the following topics:
– Implementation of a Lean Benchmarking among more than 160 companies that comprise the clusters of Galicia, Castilla León and Valencia.
– Exchange of information and best practices in the field of training (with the participation of those responsible for the training of the respective clusters)
– Analyze the clusters importance in industrial policies of Spain and Europe.
– New legislation for late payment in commercial transactions.

Finally, representatives of automotive clusters that represent ACREA took a tour of the factory of PSA Peugeot Citroën in Vigo. On this tour, ACREA members had the opportunity to see in first hand the reality of the Galician Automotive Sector.

ACREA was founded on November 19th, 2009 in Madrid, with the aim of agreeing a common voice to represent the clusters and defend their interests before national and European institutions, and to promote coordination and reporting tasks that contribute to greater and better collaboration between the clusters to optimize resources.
