Company description

Vortal XR is a Galician tech micro-enterprise that brings extended reality (XR) to the industrial workplace. It has developed SVH (Smart Visual Hybrid), an XR headset-based tool that helps operators train and work with step-by-step guidance on the actual part or machine, with local processing on-site. The aim is to make these solutions accessible to automotive manufacturers and suppliers, not just large corporations. The company is open to collaboration: it adapts the technology to each specific case and carries out pilot projects alongside companies in the sector.

SVH is an extended reality tool for the operator’s workstation, based on open standards (OpenXR) and featuring local processing (without relying on the cloud or a single headset manufacturer).
Three applications based on the same platform:
-Training XR: immersive training at the actual workstation, available 24/7, adaptable to each procedure.
-ARI (Intelligent Recognition Assistant): a step-by-step visual guide superimposed onto the actual part or tool; where required, it uses computer vision to recognise relevant elements (parts, tools, PPE) to help validate the operation.
-Immersive Space: displays data from the production environment (machine parameters, sensors, OPC-UA connection) within the operator’s field of view, without the need to look at fixed screens.
They make industrial XR accessible through consumer-grade hardware (XR headset), local processing and multi-device portability (OpenXR), which reduces the cost per workstation compared to traditional platforms and avoids dependence on a single manufacturer. They co-develop a solution tailored to each company’s specific needs.

  • Other technologies
Vortal XR does not operate a production plant. It has its own laboratory where it develops, trains and validates SVH before implementing it at client sites through pilot projects. In-house capabilities, operated internally: integration of XR with computer vision at the edge and multi-device extended reality based on OpenXR, with connection to the production environment (sensors/OPC-UA) and voice interaction where applicable. They work collaboratively: testing the implementation and integration of the technology with the client’s systems, adapting it to each process.
