After the success of the mission carried out in the International Consumer Electronics Show CES Las Vegas 2019, the Cluster reinforces its strategy 4.0 to accommodate the new trends that are influencing the automotive sector.

The participation of CEAGA in the congress allowed to state that the automotive industry is being nourished by the innovations of other sectors, implementing mobility and connectivity technologies that will mark the future both at the product and process level. Artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, Internet of Things (IoT), big data or even mobile telephony and 5G are already a fundamental part of the car and they took much of the attention at the fair. New concepts of autonomous, intelligent and connected vehicle were exposed, including voice control systems, sensors and innovative driving assistants. In addition, new logistics and cybersecurity solutions were also proposed.

In this sense and within the strategy of open innovation of CEAGA, it is planning to attend two other international congresses. One of them, the Mobile World Congress 2019, to be held in Shanghai, focuses on advances in wireless and mobile technologies. Another key event is the Hannover Messe 2019, an important industrial technology fair held in Germany with the aim of exposing the possibilities of robotics for the industry.

Through these activities, the Cluster identifies new needs and technological gaps, taking advantage of this system of collective intelligence to establish specific lines of action and projects that help the Automotive Sector of Galicia to solve the challenges of the current scenario. In addition, it contributes to increasing the international projection of companies, supporting them in their participation in this type of events.

The strategy 4.0 of CEAGA has been designed based on the third Strategic Plan P3CA 2025 for the Competitive Improvement of the Automotive Sector of Galicia with the aim of anticipating new scenarios and take advantage of them for the progress of all member companies.
