Galician Automotive Cluster has been recognized by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) with the distinction ”Gold Label” that identifies it as one of the 22 best-managed clusters in the European Union, for demonstrating high levels of excellence in its strategy, services and management. This award is an independent accreditation and a tool for clusters, accepted and recognized all over Europe. It is not only a quality distinction, but a motivation for organizations to participate in a process of continuous improvement and compare its performance with the best European clusters.

This accreditation is valid for two years and for its renewal, CEAGA will have to be audited again by the Community organism.

After passing an audit consisting in the analysis of quality indicators, CEAGA received this award with the approval of the ”Cluster Excellence Expert Group (CEEG)”, made up of representatives of European organizations which also have the ”Gold Label”. CEAGA will become part of this group from now.

CEAGA Foundation becomes the first automotive cluster in Spain, and unique in the European Union in the automotive sector, in getting this hallmark of excellence.

The European Union recognizes the essential role of cluster organizations at boosting growth and employment in Europe in the period 2014-2020. In this line, the ECCP (European Cluster Collaboration Platform) was created to promote excellence in the management of these organizations, defining a referential and giving the assessment role to ESCA. Among the more than 1.700 cluster organizations identified by the ECCP, 355 have been accredited with the ”Bronze Label” and 22 with the highest level of excellence ”Gold Label”.

This initiative has the support of the cluster policy of the regional Ministry of Economy and Industry that, through the IGAPE, drives Galician clusters towards excellence.
