CEAGA is part of the Interregional Hydrogen Mobility Initiative for Europe (IH-MIE) alongside various entities from eight regions: Galicia, Aragon and Castile-La Mancha (Spain), Île-de-France and Normandy (France), North Brabant (Netherlands), Podkarpackie (Poland), Moravia-Silesia (Czech Republic), Norte (Portugal) and Kurzeme (Latvia).

This initiative, co-funded by the European Commission, aims to establish a robust ecosystem for hydrogen-powered mobility across Europe. As a zero-emission fuel, hydrogen has the potential to decarbonise transport, especially in sectors such as heavy-duty vehicles and public transport, where battery electric solutions have limitations. Over the three years of the IH-MIE project, work will be done to accelerate innovation and the adoption of hydrogen-based mobility solutions, which are key to advancing towards climate neutrality and the green transition.

IH-MIE will have a cascade funding programme to support 30 SMEs in the development and market entry of new zero-emission mobility technologies.

The consortium comprises 19 entities, including clusters, technology centres, pioneering SMEs and associated entities, ensuring multi-sector collaboration. The kick-off meeting, organised by CTAG on 21 and 22 October, enabled project partners to exchange ideas, strengthen team cohesion, initiate the first activities and lay the foundations for successful collaboration.
