CEAGA met yesterday, in the delegation of the regional government in Vigo, with the Regional Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry, Francisco Conde, to ask support for the 106 component companies of the Galician automotive industry, through the projects of the third Strategic Plan for competitive improvement of the Galician Automotive Sector 2020 – Vision 2025 (P3CA).

At this meeting, the President of the Cluster, José Luciano Martinez Covelo, thanked the assistance provided by the Regional Minister to an important part of Sector: the PSA Group and the CTAG. In addition, the Cluster is comprised of 106 companies that make up the value chain of suppliers. That was the purpose of the meeting: the 106 companies in the value chain. Very competitive companies but its need a boost and increase the size and scope of its activities

For this, the sector has developed, together, third Strategic Plan for competitive improvement of the Galician Automotive Sector comprising by 35 projects to be implemented in the second half of 2016 until 2020. With this meeting, CEAGA search the support of the Ministry of Economy, Employment and Industry to initiate these cooperative projects, which undoubtedly will impact significantly on the competitiveness of the companies.

For its part, the Regional Minister of Economy, Francisco Conde, committed to launch in September a mixed commission to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the projects contained in the Plan and to analyse its financial needs.
