CEAGA Corporate University has been ratified as a member of the EFMD (European Foundation for Management and Development) at the recent General Assembly. The main mission of this organization is to promote the Business Excellence among educational institutions (academic and business schools) and the companies Training Centers (corporate universities).

EFMD is an international membership organization, based in Brussels, Belgium. With more than 700 member organizations out of wich 520 are academia members, 100 are big training centers of companies, called Corporate Universities, in 82 countries. EFMD is recognized globally as an accreditation body of quality in management education and has established accreditation services for business schools and corporate universities.

The fact that the CEAGA Corporate University is a member of this organization helps to increase its international recognition to follow the path marked by corporate universities of leading companies such as PSA, Volkswagen, Siemens, or the Gas Natural-Fenosa. The UCC is interested up to date on best practices related to corporate training. Being able to participate as members in the network of EFMD offers an opportunity to learn and interact with accredited institutions and guarantees continuity on the path to excellence.

The emergence of corporate universities responds to the need for companies to manage knowledge both internally and to provide specific training to employees in the work area. Thus, employees of the organization can see all the training needs covered in the Training Centre of the Company (Corporate University). Meanwhile, the organization can link training plans to the needs of business and take advantage to instill their values, culture or history.

Galician Automotive Sector Corporate University (UCC) was founded in 2010, collaborates closely with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT and the University of Vigo and just trained 48 managers in its first program of innovation ”Management and Development of New Products”. The distinguishing feature of this training program were the different academic pathways created for specific profiles: Project Manager, Project Quality Manager, Head of Design, Industry, Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, etc.
