26 April 2023

Last Tuesday, April 25, the “Open innovation day to promote collaborative projects” was held, which was followed by nearly 100 professionals nationwide.

In the first part of this meeting, the novelties of state aid for the automotive and mobility sector were presented by María Jesús García, Deputy CEO of Industry Digitization and Collaborative Projects, who delved into the new call for Associations Innovative Businesses of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism (AEIs).

Subsequently, the collaborative innovation platform was presented, fostered within the framework of the Ecomob project in conjunction with the other national clusters Facyl (Castilla y León), CAAR (Aragón), Avia (Valencia), CIAC (Catalonia) and La Rioja. This initiative consists of a virtual platform created to boost the generation and dissemination of initiatives and the creation of collaboration consortia. The development of this platform is one more step in the constant progress towards a connected and sustainable sector.

The platform is available to any company within the automotive and mobility clusters that is interested in promoting or participating in collaborative projects. The idea is to take part in national projects, in collaboration with companies belonging to other automotive and mobility clusters (Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Aragon, Castilla y León and La Rioja) through the connection with their respective twin platforms.

In order to understand how the platform works, the Automotive Cluster of Catalonia (CIAC) presented its personal experience and the success story of an innovative project boosted through this system.

Before the end of the day, the participants were able to receive a demo of its performance with real projects.
