CEAGA has mobilized 30 SMEs, within the framework of the three editions of the “Industry 4.0 grouped Projects” (previously called Pilots 4.0), promoted by Igape, which have made investments of more than seven million euros, obtaining a grant of 2,361,797.53 euros.

These companies, which are representative of the Galician automotive value chain, have made investments in different fields of industry activity such as additive manufacturing, sensor and mechatronic actuators, cyber-physical systems, automation, machine-machine intercommunication, connectivity, autonomous vehicle, product customization, IoT (Internet of Things), Big Data, modelling and simulation of industrial processes and Logistics 4.0.

Because of this joint work, CEAGA and the participating SMEs received, during three consecutive years, the Industry 4.0 Pilot award, from the Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry, Francisco Conde.

CEAGA is already working on the preparation of the fourth edition of this project, with the aim of supporting and promoting the transition of the Galician automotive industry to the “Factory of the Future”, through the investment in technologies in the field of Industry 4.0 and the dissemination of experiences and results among the other companies in the Sector.
